Welcome, I'm Amelia Jayne.  

 

I'm based in inner Melbourne and love to create beautiful things with my hands for others (and myself!) to enjoy.  Making goodies for friends and family brings me lots of joy, so I thought I'd take it one step further in 2020...and Amelia Jayne Designs was born.

I'm inspired by and attracted to the many patterns and designs I see everywhere, and those that find their way into my handmade jewellery vary from the traditional to the unconventional, from the simple to the elaborate.  Most of my earrings are glass cabochons but I've also got a collection of funky fabric studs and some simple (but equally funky and very cute!) resin studs in my "fun studs" collection.  More recently I've added glass cabochon cufflinks, pendants and bracelets to my collections.  I've just started experimenting with dried flowers, which look fantastic, so watch this space (hint: new collection coming soon!)!
 

I've got sensitive ears so I appreciate the importance of using good quality materials.  My earrings are made with surgical stainless steel and the brass bases used are hypo-allergenic and nickel-free, all sourced locally.   The pendant bezels are lead and nickel-free.  To keep your jewellery in good condition I recommend avoiding water and extreme heat, and storing them out of direct sunlight.  I've got a "Care Instructions" section with more information.

 

While generally no two pieces are identical, if you do see something you really like that isn't available (or you'd like more than one), please let me know so I can try to recreate it. Or if you see a design you like but would prefer a different setting (for example, stud/drop, stainless steel/nickel-free brass base) or even a different piece (for example, earring/pendant/cufflink), please let me know.  I'm also happy to chat and create something special, made just for you.
